Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Threshold ~ Aye Aye Sailor!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Threshold

In a post created specifically for this challenge, share a photo that captures the threshold — that point just before the action happens, that oh-so-sweet moment of anticipation before that new beginning. It could be a door about to open, or something a bit more metaphorical like a flower about to bloom. Looking forward to seeing how you capture “threshold.”

We started off on our adventure especially taken for this challenge!

(I have included various excerpts with photos on various dictionary meanings of threshold)

Excerpt

the starting point of an experience, event, or venture:

Intrepid explorers!

Intrepid explorers!

Wandering through the forest who knows what might happen!

Excerpt

(Psychology) psychol the strength at which a stimulus is just perceived

Adrenlin rushes through our veins at the anticipation of what might happen by the enclosed space of the forest.

Adrenalin rushes through our veins at the anticipation brought about by the fast approaching enclosed space seemingly brought about by the forest, the threshold of fear approaching.

The Climax!

(along this path, we play a game very often, that has been going on for years.  There is a variety of tree trunks placed in such a way my children could climb over them, and it vaguely resembled a boat,  we called it our pirate ship.  The children upon ‘my command’ would ‘take over’ the ship, do their pirate business, then ‘jump ship’ so to speak, as you will see my son dithering with the anticipation of flinging himself off the rather large log, the threshold of solidity beneath his feet, to air then where would he land?)

Excerpt

The point that must be exceeded to begin producing a given effect or result or to elicit a response

He has taken over the ship, pirates ahoy!

He has taken over the ship, pirates ahoy!

The point of from - to has begun.

The point of from – to has begun.

In the latter stages of bravery!

In the latter stages of bravery!

Thank you for reading this post, I would love your thoughts on my take of ‘threshold’
